Gilberd Bush Reserve

Gilbert Bush Reserve This track is relatively straight forward but the views over the harbour, Eastbourne and out to the Rimutakas are worth it although a little obscured in places. The track itself is in good condition and is well graded. The track can be accessed from Ladbrooke Dr, Bayswater Pl and Fernhaven Gr

Time and Difficulty

Allow around 45 minutes to walk the trail returning via the road

Distance and Height

Overall the trail runs for ???

Seton Nossiter Park

Seton Nossiter Park This scenic park lies between Grenada and NewLands and is of particular interest as it was the site of one of the worlds great Viaducts. Although the viaduct was destroyed in 1951 the park remains and includes quality walking tracks, good dog exercise areas and nice regenerating bush. You can access the park from either Colchester Cres, Jay Street or Mark Av

Waihinahina Park and tracks

Waihinahina Park This park is on the site of an old tip and is well used by both locals and dog owners. While the park itself has a beautiful track running round its circumference there are also a number of short tracks heading down towards the harbour and over into the Quarry. While it is possible to get into the Quarry please don't as this is dangerous area. This area is a photographers dream so take your time.

Time and Difficulty

It takes around 30 minutes to walk all the various tracks.

Distance and Height

Overall the trail runs for ???

Brandons Rock

Brandons Rock

This short walk takes in some gorgeous views of Wellington and the harbour. Well known for its steps it is possible to get to Brandons rock directly from ??? but for the more adventurous take the longer route from Black Rock Rd up the 200 or so steps.

Time and Difficulty

It takes around 15 minutes to walk one way.

Distance and Height

Overall the trail runs for around 500m one way but it is definitely quicker to loop back on the track then take the roads.
